On Monday, July 13, 2026, a delegation of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), comprising Assoc. Prof. Muhammed Yasir Göz, Vice-Rector for General Affairs, and Mr. İbrahim İnal, Secretary General, paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The IUS delegation was warmly welcomed by H.E. Sylvia Abu Laban, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the meeting, the participants exchanged views on cooperation opportunities in the field of higher education, the development of international academic relations and potential joint activities between IUS and the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The visit also served as an opportunity to reaffirm IUS’s respect and support for the Palestinian cause, as well as its commitment to dialogue, solidarity and academic cooperation. IUS recognizes the importance of education, institutional partnership and international engagement in strengthening mutual understanding and supporting communities through knowledge, collaboration and shared values.
Both sides expressed openness to further communication and future initiatives that may contribute to academic cooperation, cultural exchange and stronger institutional ties.
The meeting reflected IUS’s continued commitment to building meaningful partnerships with diplomatic missions and international institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond.
