Students of the Faculty of Law (FLW) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) conducted a study visit to the Faculty of Islamic Sciences of the University of Sarajevo (FIN UNSA) on Friday, January 9, 2026, as part of the Philosophy of Law course. The visit was organized within FLW’s ongoing efforts to strengthen peer-to-peer and faculty-level cooperation between the two institutions.
The visit was hosted by Assistant Umihana Šošić, MSc., under the guidance of Associate Professor Dr. Samedin Kadić, both from the Department of Islamic Philosophy. The IUS delegation was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Hana Šarkinović-Köse.
During the visit, students and staff had the opportunity to explore the FIN UNSA building, widely recognized as an architectural jewel. More importantly, they engaged in insightful discussions on the role of religion and secularism, the interaction between ideas and ideologies, and the contemporary challenges that different philosophical worldviews have historically addressed - and continue to help address today.
The students and staff of IUS expressed their sincere appreciation for the warm hospitality and the intellectually enriching exchange. Both institutions look forward to continued collaboration and future academic exchanges.
