From July 3 to 5, 2026, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) participated in the fourth edition of the “Days of Türkiye” manifestation, held in Sarajevo and Mostar. The event was organized by the Yunus Emre Institute Sarajevo, under the auspices of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye.
As part of the manifestation, representatives of IUS organized fun workshops for children, contributing to the family-friendly character of the event and strengthening the university’s connection with the wider community. Through its participation, IUS once again confirmed its commitment to intercultural exchange, education, community engagement and the strong friendship between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Türkiye.
The manifestation brought the spirit of Türkiye closer to citizens and visitors through a rich cultural, entertainment and gastronomic program. During the three-day event, visitors had the opportunity to enjoy traditional Turkish cuisine, including well-known specialties such as baklava and Turkish ice cream, as well as a variety of performances by local and Turkish artists.
A special focus of the program was placed on children and families. Through creative and entertaining activities, the youngest visitors had the opportunity to learn, play and experience Turkish culture in an engaging and joyful atmosphere.
The manifestation also featured a photography exhibition presenting Türkiye’s defense industry, infrastructure investments and major projects realized in recent years. This exhibition offered visitors an additional insight into Türkiye’s development, innovation and strategic achievements.
By taking part in the “Days of Türkiye” manifestation, IUS supported an important cultural event that celebrates friendship, tradition and cooperation, while creating meaningful moments for citizens, children and families in Sarajevo and Mostar.
