Teaching Assistant Abas Sezer from the Genetics and Bioengineering (GBE) study program at the IUS Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS) recently participated in a specialized workshop and hands-on demonstration in Zagreb, Croatia, organized by Biosistemi Grupa. The event focused on Thermo Fisher Scientific products, including EVOS microscopes and Attune flow cytometers.
During the workshop, Mr. Sezer had the opportunity to work directly with some of the latest technologies in the field of cell imaging, including advanced systems such as the EVOS 3000 and EVOS 7000. This practical experience provided valuable insight into state-of-the-art imaging techniques and their applications in contemporary scientific research.
A particularly important aspect of the event was the opportunity to engage with experts from Thermo Fisher Scientific who were directly involved in the development of these technologies. Their guidance and professional insights contributed to a deeper understanding of both the instruments themselves and their practical use in laboratory and research settings.
In addition to the technical training, the workshop also served as an excellent platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience with colleagues from various institutions. Through professional discussions and interaction with other participants, the event further enriched the overall learning experience and supported the development of new academic and research perspectives.
Participation in workshops of this kind reflects the IUS commitment to continuous professional development, international engagement, and keeping pace with the latest advancements in science and technology.
