IUS Orientation Days for freshmen students was held on September 21-23, 2022. The students were introduced to the University, IUS faculties and their study programs as well as student-oriented offices whose services they are most likely to use.
The IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, IUS Vice-Rector for International Cooperation and Research, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kanita Karađuzović-Hadžiabdić and IUS Vice-Rector for Academic Activities and Students’ Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emil Knezović gave inspirational welcoming speeches to the new IUS students and emphasized hard work, dedication and curiosity during their studies at the University.
During these three days, Program Coordinators of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences (FENS), Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS), Faculty of Education (FEDU), Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) and Faculty of Law (FLW) briefly introduced the freshmen with the study programs they chose and what they can expect in the next four years of their higher education.
The offices whose services are to a greater extent oriented towards students are the Student Affairs Office (SAO), the International Relations Office (IRO) and the Student and Career Center (SCC). The office representatives presented their scope of work and what students can expect from them as well as what is expected of students while they study at IUS.
The last part of the Orientation meetings was reserved for students’ questions who asked details regarding their study programs, minor degrees and postgraduate programs.
