The IUS English Language and Literature (ELIT) study program recently hosted the 1st Foreign Language Pedagogy Student Research Poster Presentation, offering students a valuable platform to showcase their academic work, research skills, and creativity through poster presentations prepared as part of the Introduction to Foreign Language Pedagogy course taught by Associate Prof. Dr. Ervin Kovačević.
Held on Monday, June 1, 2026, the event brought together students, faculty members, and guests interested in foreign language teaching, learning, and language use in academic and everyday contexts. Through collaborative group projects, students explored a range of relevant issues connected to foreign language pedagogy and presented their findings in a clear, visually engaging, and research-informed format.
The poster presentations reflected students’ ability to investigate real questions related to language learning and teaching, analyze data, and communicate their conclusions effectively to an audience. In this way, the event highlighted not only the academic content of the course, but also the importance of research-based learning, teamwork, and presentation skills in teacher education and language studies.
The projects were evaluated by a distinguished jury composed of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vesna Suljić, Dr. Damir Kahrić, Dr. Azemina Latić, Maja Olovčić, Assoc. Prof. Roman Sulejmanpašić, and Asst. Prof. Nejira Mulahmetović. Their participation added special value to the event and provided students with professional recognition and encouragement for their efforts.
This first edition of the Foreign Language Pedagogy Student Research Poster Presentation represents an important and inspiring step in promoting student research culture at IUS. By creating opportunities for students to present their work publicly and engage with their academic community, IUS continues to support active learning, critical thinking, and academic development across its study programs.
Congratulations to all participating students for their hard work, thoughtful research, and engaging presentations.
