The IUS Faculty of Law (FLW) organized a valuable study visit on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, during which students enrolled in the Business Law course visited the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The visit was organized and led by Adjunct Instructor Dr. Haris Silajdžić.
This academic visit provided students with an important opportunity to deepen their understanding of competition law through direct engagement with the institution responsible for safeguarding market competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the visit, students were introduced to the key principles of competition law, different forms of market competition, and the jurisdiction and responsibilities of the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The students were warmly welcomed by Ms. Ninela Salihbašić, President of the Competition Council, together with Council members Ms. Adisa Moćević and Mr. Ivo Jerkić. Their presence added particular value to the visit, giving students a clearer understanding of the institutional role and practical significance of competition law in contemporary legal and economic practice.
The visit also allowed students to connect classroom learning with real institutional processes, helping them better understand how legal frameworks are applied in practice and how regulatory bodies contribute to ensuring fair market conditions.
The Faculty of Law extends its sincere gratitude to the staff of the Competition Council of Bosnia and Herzegovina for their warm welcome and informative session, especially to Ms. Kadina Karić, Mr. Adnan Popara, Ms. Lejla Šaković, Ms. Mirsada Pehilj, and Ms. Aida Mujagić for sharing their time, expertise, and valuable professional insights with our students.
