Guest Lecture on CRM Brings Industry Insight to FBA Students

Guest Lecture on CRM

Students of the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA) at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) had the opportunity to attend a valuable guest lecture on Monday, May 11, 2026, as part of their Customer Relationship Management (CRM) course.

The lecture was delivered by Mr. Ismir Omeragić, an experienced expert in research and business analytics, who brought extensive professional insight from the field. Mr. Omeragić has been part of the Valicon team since 2004 and currently serves as Partner, CEO of Valicon BiH, and Senior Consultant. With more than fifteen years of experience, he has worked across a wide range of industries, including finance, FMCG, media, retail, and tourism.

Throughout the session, Mr. Omeragić shared practical knowledge drawn from real-world applications of CRM, with particular focus on the use of CRM software tools in everyday operations across private companies, public institutions, and the non-governmental sector. His lecture gave students a clearer understanding of how customer relationship management functions in practice and why it plays such an important role in contemporary business.

Drawing on his expertise in predictive analytics, customer acquisition and retention strategies, and fraud detection, Mr. Omeragić highlighted the strategic value of data-driven decision-making and effective customer communication. Through concrete examples from professional practice, students were able to connect concepts discussed in class with real business processes and challenges.

The lecture provided students with a valuable opportunity to see how CRM tools support organizations in building stronger relationships with customers, improving service quality, and making more informed business decisions. It also reinforced the importance of combining academic learning with direct exposure to industry experience.
