The Rector of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, paid a visit to the Reisu-l-ulema of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Husein ef. Kavazović.
Rector Kuşakcı was accompanied by the Deputy Secretary General for Legal Affairs, Mr. Jahja Imamović, and the Director of the Double Diploma Coordination Centre at IUS, Dr. Mustafa Krupalija.
During the meeting, the IUS delegation presented the current activities, academic achievements, and development priorities of the University. Special attention was given to the importance of education, scientific cooperation, and the role of higher education institutions in supporting the intellectual and professional development of young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Rector Kuşakcı expressed IUS’s readiness to continue providing strong support to the work of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly to medresas, whose students represent an important part of the IUS student community. He emphasized the University’s commitment to creating quality educational opportunities for talented young people and strengthening cooperation with institutions that contribute to education, knowledge, and social development.
Reisu-l-ulema Dr. Husein ef. Kavazović expressed his support for the work of IUS and praised the University’s efforts in promoting quality education, international academic standards, and opportunities for students in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The meeting also served as an opportunity to discuss future possibilities for cooperation in the fields of education, science, and academic development.
