On Tuesday, September 2, 2025, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation from the İlim Yayma Cemiyeti (İYC) – Society for the Dissemination of Knowledge, led by Dr. İsrafil Kışla, Deputy Chairman of İYC and Chief Advisor to the President of the Republic of Türkiye.
The delegation also included: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hızır Murat Köse, Deputy Chairman of İYC, Mr. Metin Başbay, Member of the İYC Board of Directors, Mr. Enes Bayraklı, Member of the İYC Board of Directors, Mr. Nurullah Şimşek, Deputy General Manager of İYC, Mr. Gökhan Güzel, Director of İYC Dormitories, and Mr. Recep Kabakçı, İYC Education Advisor.
The guests were warmly welcomed by the IUS Acting Rector, Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı.
In his address, Dr. Kuşakcı expressed his sincere appreciation for the visit, noting that IUS stands among the region’s most respected centers of higher education and knowledge dissemination. He emphasized the significance of collaboration between institutions with shared values, as such partnerships broaden professional networks and foster the exchange of expertise and experience.
The event primarily focused on motivation for the upcoming academic year. Speakers highlighted the importance of student-centered education and underscored the continuous professional development of academic staff as a foundation for excellence in higher education.
