His Excellency, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Bosnia and Herzegovina Mr. Rezeq Namoura accompanied by the Embassy delegation paid a courtesy visit to the International University of Sarajevo on Monday, August 8, 2022. He was hosted by the IUS Vice-Rector for Academic Activities and Students Affairs Dr. Emil Knezović.
The main topic of the discussion was on fostering cooperation in order to facilitate recruitment of Palestinian students to IUS. It was agreed that IUS serves as a great potential for the aforementioned group of students but that their arrival in higher numbers is hindered by difficult bureaucratic procedures in BiH. The Ambassador pledged support of the Embassy in providing guarantees for prospective students coming from his country. Moreover, the possibility of initiating student and staff exchange was also discussed and it was concluded that these items will be discussed in more details in the near future prior to the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two institutions.
