More than 30 IUS students, professors and administrative staff donated their blood in a voluntary action organized at University premises on Tuesday, June 9th. Action was organized in cooperation with the Federal Blood Transfusion Institute of Bosnia-Herzegovina and held in FRESHMAN C - IUS first floor from 12:45 till 15.30.
This was the first time that IUS, in coordination with the Institute, organized such kind of activity with intention to contribute in increasing the quantity of supply of this precious liquid. Based on federal statistics, current situation regarding blood supplies in Canton Sarajevo and FB-H is alarming and being less then a few percentages. More than 2000 blood dosages are needed every week.
