The Prime Minister of Turkish Republic visited International University of Sarajevo

Public lecture on US presidential election 2008 at the IUS

His Excellency, Recep Tayyib Erdogan, the Prime Minister of Turkish Republic paid an official visit to International University of Sarajevo (IUS) on March 25, 2008. He was welcomed by the Acting Rector of the University, Prof. Dr. Erturul Tacgin, who briefly informed the Prime Minister of IUS achievements, developments and future plans.

Turkish Prime Minister, H.E. Recep Tayyib Erdogan gave a public lecture and talked about relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey, importance of the higher education and perspectives of two countries in European integration process.

The Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by public figures of Bosnia and Herzegovina, IUS academics and administrative personals, large number of students and other guests that were invited. The IUS thanks all the participants, yet unfortunately the conference hall of the International University of Sarajevo was too small to accept all visitors on the occasion.

On behalf of the IUS, Hasan Topaloĝlu, deputy president of the Sarajevo Education Development Foundation and one of the founders of the IUS, expressed his gratitude to H.E. Recep Tayyib Erdogan for his committment and full support to IUS project. At the end, the Acting Rector Tacgin also presented token of appreciation to the Prime Minister and tanked him for his kind visit.
