IUS Welcomes Distinguished Delegation from Selçuklu District

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) had the honor of welcoming a distinguished delegation from Selçuklu District for an official visit aimed at discussing opportunities for strengthening cooperation and establishing new partnerships.

The delegation included Mr. Eflatun Can Tortop, District Governor of Selçuklu; Mr. Ahmet Pekyatırmacı, Mayor of Selçuklu Municipality; and Mr. Arif Bağcı, AK Party Selçuklu District Chairman. The guests were received at IUS by Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, Rector of the International University of Sarajevo; Associate Professor Muhammed Yasir Göz, Vice-Rector for General Affairs; and Mr. Mehmet Akif Yaman, Member of the IUS Board of Trustees.

The meeting provided an important opportunity for both sides to exchange views on potential areas of collaboration and to reaffirm their shared commitment to developing meaningful institutional ties. Discussions focused on the possibilities for building collaborative initiatives between Selçuklu District and IUS, particularly in the fields of higher education, research, student mobility, innovation ecosystems, and knowledge exchange.

Special emphasis was placed on the importance of connecting academic institutions and local communities through partnerships that create long-term value. In this regard, the visit served as a platform for exploring future joint projects and initiatives that could contribute not only to the development of both institutions, but also to wider regional and international cooperation.
