19th July. 2012 a seven-day-long regional summer school called "Islam in the contemporary World", organized by the Centre for Advanced Studies in Sarajevo was successfully completed. As part of this summer school, the themes were learning about the Islamic world view and acquiring the basic personal and management skills, networking, and a tour of the Balkans.
Participants of CNS 2012 summer school were students of the International University of Sarajevo: Hamidullah Bayram, Fazil Ahmed Gülşen, Alma Hodžić, Amina Selimović and graduate students from non-Islamic studies from Slovenia, Croatian, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania, Kosovo, Macedonia, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey and Romania.
The seven-day program was organized in Podgorica and Sarajevo, and was based on three main areas:
Basic issues of contemporary Islamic thought, the knowledge of Balkan Muslim communities and personal and professional development through workshops on project management, writing business letters and resumes, and interview behavior.
Participants in this summer school had the opportunity to visit the Bosnian towns of Trebinje, Chair, Počitelj, Blagaj and Mostar, and, on 11 July, visited Srebrenica.
