The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) recently had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from Ibn Haldun University for a courtesy visit led by the Rector of Ibn Haldun University, Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan. The visit was organized as an opportunity to extend warm congratulations to the IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, on his appointment, while also serving as a meaningful occasion to further strengthen the relationship between the two institutions.
The delegation was warmly received by Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, Rector of the International University of Sarajevo, together with Associate Prof. Dr. Kanita Karađuzović-Hadžiabdić, Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, and Associate Prof. Muhammed Yasir Göz, Vice-Rector for General Affairs.
Held in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, the meeting provided space for an exchange of ideas on the future development of cooperation between IUS and Ibn Haldun University. In addition to the formal expression of congratulations, both sides discussed the importance of maintaining strong institutional ties and building on shared academic values through closer collaboration.
Particular attention was given to the potential for expanding cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including academic exchange, joint initiatives, research collaboration, and other forms of partnership that could bring long-term benefits to both universities. The participants also highlighted the importance of creating opportunities that will further connect the two academic communities and encourage the exchange of knowledge, experience, and good practices.
The visit reflected the shared commitment of both institutions to international cooperation and to the continuous development of meaningful academic partnerships. In an increasingly interconnected higher education environment, such meetings play an important role in opening new perspectives for collaboration and in laying the groundwork for future joint projects.
