Over 600 people gathered on Friday, June 26th, in hotel Hollywood in Ilidža for the first IUS Graduation Ceremony. During this ceremony 35 IUS graduates and masters, as well as 31 masters from joint post-graduate programme with Sarajevo Graduate School of Business and Henderson State University, received their diplomas.
More than 120 prominent guests from Turkey who arrived with a special charter flight from Istanbul attended the ceremony. Amongst them was the Turkish Minister of Environment and Forestry and one of the IUS founders, Mr. Veysel Eroğlu. Guests from Turkey also visited IUS Campus construction site in Ilidža where they were introduced with the progress achieved. Many of them expressed their satisfaction with the future Campus appearance.
At the ceremony special rewards were given to IUS students who graduated with high honors: Semir Sarić, Enes Ismić, Jasmin Jusufović, Jasmina Džozo, Hilal Karić, Sumeyye Tuncel, Gamze Cam, Nergis Oksuz, Zeynep Gumuş and Kevser Altundağ, as well as Đenan Džumhur and Hamza Musić from the joint postgraduate program.
Tokens of appreciation were given to Rector Prof. Dr. Ertuğrul Tacgin, Minister Mr. Veysel Eroğlu, ex-rector Prof. Dr. Tahsin Erkan Türe and Prof. Dr. Murat Doğruel.
After the ceremony, in a relaxed and festive mood, live music and refreshments were organised receptions for students, members of their families and other guests.
