Assist. Prof. Dr. Ognjen Riđić and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmed Ganić, from the Faculty of Business and Administration (FBA), have visited Istanbul Commerce University (ICU) in Turkey in April 2016. This visit was organized as part of Erasmus+ exchange program for administrative staff of IUS.
Professors from IUS were welcomed by Assist. Prof. Dr. Olcay Semieoglu, who is head of the Office of International Relations of ICU, heads of departments of economics, Assist. Dr. Serkan Degirmenci, and management Nurgul Keles Taysin. During their stay in the ICU professors from IUS had the opportunity to give lectures on the topic of Organizational Culture and Globalization and Finance, to meet with students and exchange experiences with teachers who are engaged in research in the same field of study. The exchange was also an opportunity for contracting new plans for future scientific cooperation.
It is important to mention that IUS has excellent cooperation with the Istanbul Commerce University, which is much more active in the last 3 years. Cooperation has been intensified through the signed inter-institutional agreements for the exchange, Mevlana and Erasmus+, which were a precondition for the exchange of students and staff. Exchange of Assist. Prof. Dr. Ognjen Riđić and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmed Ganić is the third visit of employees of our University to this prestigious Turkish university on which are also 4 students of IUS on Erasmus+ exchange, undergraduate and postgraduate studies.
Beside additional professional training, Erasmus + exchange is an opportunity to meet and exchange cultures: "Although I have traveled the world a lot, educated in the US, and visited many countries, for the first time I meet with Turkey. I am delighted with the hospitality of the people in general and especially fellow professors from Istanbul Commerce University. Erasmus + Office of the University, led by Dr. Olcay Semieoglu, gave us generous help so that our stay in Istanbul is even more enjoyable. I hope this is just the beginning of a new cooperation between our departments of Management".
