Mr. Cüneyt Aldemir, Member of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye representing Tokat, paid a courtesy visit to the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). He was welcomed by IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı and Dr. Mehmet Akif Yaman, Member of the IUS Board of Trustees.
The visit provided an opportunity for an exchange of views on the role of higher education in strengthening connections between Türkiye and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as on the importance of academic institutions in fostering dialogue, cooperation and stronger people-to-people ties.
During the meeting, the hosts presented IUS and its international academic environment, highlighting the University’s continued commitment to building strong educational and institutional links with Türkiye and creating opportunities for students from different backgrounds.
Cüneyt Aldemir currently serves as a Member of the 28th Term of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye for Tokat and is a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Health, Family, Labour and Social Affairs.
The visit reaffirmed the value of continued institutional dialogue and the important role universities can play in bringing communities closer through education, knowledge exchange and international cooperation.
IUS extends its appreciation to Mr. Cüneyt Aldemir for his visit and looks forward to further opportunities to strengthen educational and institutional connections between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Türkiye.
