The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) marked the successful completion of CoderDojo 2026 with a certificate ceremony held on August 6, 2026, bringing to a close three weeks of programming, learning and creative exploration for young participants.
Organized by Bit Alliance, CoderDojo is a free summer programming school designed for children and young people aged 13 to 17. This year’s program was implemented across Sarajevo, Zenica, Travnik and Mostar, with IUS once again serving as one of the host locations in Sarajevo.
During the program, participants had the opportunity to develop practical digital skills and gain introductory knowledge in areas such as programming, web development and Python. Guided by student mentors, they also worked on their own projects and explored the creative and practical possibilities offered by contemporary technologies.
The closing ceremony at IUS was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tarik Namas, IUS Vice-Rector for Academic Activities and Student Affairs, and Mr. Damir Maglajlić, Executive Director of Bit Alliance.
As part of the ceremony, participants received certificates recognizing their successful completion of the program. Mr. Maglajlić also presented Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tarik Namas with a Certificate of Appreciation on behalf of IUS, acknowledging the University’s support and contribution as a host institution for CoderDojo 2026.
The ceremony provided an opportunity to reflect on the knowledge, skills and experiences gained during the program, as well as the importance of creating accessible learning opportunities for young people interested in technology.
Through its cooperation with Bit Alliance and initiatives such as CoderDojo, IUS continues to support educational programs that encourage digital literacy, creativity, practical learning and the development of future talent.
