From Classroom to Industry: IUS Students Contribute to National Business Report

IUS Students Contribute to National Business Report

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is proud to highlight its growing partnership with the Association of Business Service Leaders in Bosnia and Herzegovina (ABSL) and the outstanding contribution of IUS students to a major industry publication. As part of this collaboration launched in 2025 through the IUS Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (IAE), students from the Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design (VACD) program - Iva Krstić and Belma Karačić - designed the official 6th ABSL Country Report 2025 for Bosnia and Herzegovina, earning recognition for their professional creativity and applied design excellence.

This successful collaboration was further reinforced on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, when Assocate Prof. Dr. Jasmin Šutković, Director of the IUS Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (IAE), represented the University at the ABSL Year-End Networking Event. The gathering brought together industry leaders and partners to review annual achievements and deepen cooperation between the academic and business sectors - a goal central to IUS’s mission of connecting education with real-world innovation.

The ABSL Country Report 2025 provides a comprehensive overview of the Business and Global Business Services (GBS) sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina, focusing on talent development, technological transformation, innovation trends, and regional cooperation across the Western Balkans. It presents success stories from leading member companies, examines the interaction between human expertise and emerging technologies, and offers strategic recommendations for both businesses and policymakers navigating today’s rapidly evolving market environment. The report is a valuable resource for investors, business leaders, policy stakeholders, and the wider GBS community seeking data-driven insight and future-oriented guidance.

IUS extends special thanks to ABSL Director Nadina Gradaščević for her leadership and dedication in building this productive partnership, as well as to the Minister of Science, Higher Education and Youth, Prof. Dr. Dušanka Bošković, for her continued support of initiatives that promote practical learning and industry collaboration.

Congratulations to our students, Iva Krstić and Belma Karačić, on this remarkable professional achievement and their excellent representation of IUS creativity on the national stage.
