Many fun activities and concerts marked this year's IUS Spring Festival that was held on Wednesday, May 17, 2011.
The event kicked off at noon with the Tae Kwon Do Show prepared by the Tae Kwon Do Club "Zlatni ljiljan" from Sarajevo. Students, professors and other employees gathered at the central hallway of the main Faculty building had an opportunity to see different Tae Kwon Do practices performed by the club's members.
At the same time, presentation stands for students who wanted to gather means for different causes were organized. Students sold food, clothes and books to raise awareness for various goals and gather money for people in need. Raffle with valuable prizes and competition in table tennis were organizes as well.
After the Tae Kwon Do Show, the stage was taken by the dancers from primary schools in Sarajevo who performed traditional dances of Bosnia and Herzegovina and delighted people present with their skills.
At 17.00, the Festival moved outdoors, to the terrace outside the main Faculty building. IUS Students Mr. Halil Bayrak and Mr. Rinaldi Prasetya cheered up the audience with their music performances, and prepared them for the IUS Rock band that held a one-hour concert.
The event finished with a great performance by Turkish rock band Marsis, who arrived from Istanbul just for this occasion. Students, professors and staff enjoyed the night of music and fun, looking forward to more of similar events.
