On December 29, 2021, the President of the Foundation for Education Development Sarajevo (SEDEF), Mr. Hasan Topaloğlu, the Rector of International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Prof.Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım and the Director of the Foundation for Education Development Sarajevo (SEDEF), Mr. Armin Kerić visited the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Mr. Fadil Novalić.
The meeting focused on issues related to university education and what could be done to improve and enhance opportunities for future higher education students in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The attendees also highlighted the close relationship between Bosnia and Turkey. They discussed future partnerships and projects that could be significant for both countries including new investment opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina by Turkish investors notably in the energy sector.
In addition, Rector Yıldırım pointed out the importance of IUS in increasing the quality of education in BiH and the advantages IUS students have once they start their education at this institution. He presented the features which distinguish IUS from other higher institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, such as professional and highly-qualified academic staff, research centers and laboratories with cutting edge equipment, modernly-equipped classrooms, a large number of publications and literature and access to numerous online databases.
The meeting ended with best wishes for the upcoming 2022 and hopes for fruitful projects to the satisfaction to both countries.
