On Friday, September 23, 2022, a delegation from the „Ibn Sina“ Institute visited the International University of Sarajevo (IUS). The delegation comprised of the “Ibn Sina” Institute Director, Mr. Mohammad Hossein Abbasi Valadi, Deputy Director, Mr. Hamed Zabihi, Dr. Mubina Moker, Mr. Damir Kahrić and Ms. Enisa Grabus. The delegation was welcomed by the IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım and the International Relations Office (IRO) Acting Manager, Mr. Mugdim Alihodžić.
The Director of the „Ibn Sina“ Institute, Mr. Valadi presented the origins of the Institute in Sarajevo and mentioned some of its most prominent publication achievements, such as The Divan by the Iraninan poet Hafez, Persian-Bosnian Dictionary and Ilahinama by Attar Nishapur. IUS Rector talked about the establishment, mission and vision of the University, its study programs, academic staff and facilities.
The focus of the meeting was on the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding whereby the signatories pledged to establish collaboration between the two institutions pursuing knowledge, reserach and dissemination of knowledge. Both parties hope to have a fruitful cooperation which will enable student and staff exchange and significant joint research projects.
