On Tuesday, November 15, 2016, the African Students Association organized a lecture concerning the political unrest in Ethiopia which was delivered by Senior Assistant Endriss Mekonnen.
The lecture gave more information on current political situation in Ethiopia as the government oppresses its own people. Because of that, the demonstrations are ongoing. The situation has caused many people to flee and seek shelter in the neighbor countries and abroad.
The lecture ended successfully with the questions and discussion between IUS students and staff.
African Student Association will organize more lectures concerning Africa to keep students and staff informed about contemporary issues in Africa.
