September marks the start of a new school year, bringing with it numerous preparations and activities to ensure a fresh beginning for both students and teachers. This year, September also saw the launch of the pilot activities of the DC-VET WB project at SSC Hadžici, particularly Work Package 3 – Fostering Social Inclusion in VET Systems.
Over the past few weeks, Prof. Jasmina Pezo organized several interactive workshops, providing students with opportunities to practically apply what they have learned in the classroom. Among the various workshops, a few stand out: "How to Separate Butter from Milk?" introduced students to traditional butter-making techniques by whisking buttermilk in a wooden bowl. "The Secret of the Perfect Cup" workshop taught the art of coffee preparation and serving, with students making coffee themselves and treating their teachers. In the "Wool Jewelry" and "Be a Conservator, Too" workshops, students explored cultural diversity and traditions by creating jewelry from natural materials like wool and learning about cultural heritage conservation. These activities encouraged students to engage with the preservation of natural and cultural heritage while fostering an awareness of civic responsibility, giving, and sharing.
More workshops are planned for the fall, including an apple festival, gift-wrapping sessions, and activities focused on the themes of sharing and giving. Stay tuned for the exciting events ahead!
