Strengthening Student and Staff Well-Being: IUS Partners with Medicana Bosnia International

IUS and Medicana Sign MoU

On Wednesday, January 14, 2026, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) and Medicana Bosnia International signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening healthcare support and improving access to medical services for IUS students and staff.

The Agreement was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, Rector of the International University of Sarajevo, and Prof. Dr. Sedat Ziyade, Director of Medicana Bosnia International, marking the beginning of a partnership focused on community well-being and quality of life.

The primary objective of this cooperation is to enable members of the IUS academic community to access modern, reliable, and efficient medical services. Through this partnership, students and staff will benefit from Medicana’s advanced medical infrastructure, specialized healthcare services, and professional medical expertise, ensuring timely and high-quality care when needed.

Beyond immediate healthcare access, the MoU reflects a shared commitment to fostering a supportive academic environment in which student success is closely linked to physical well-being. By partnering with a reputable healthcare institution, IUS continues to expand the range of services available to its community, recognizing that comprehensive support systems play a vital role in academic performance, productivity, and overall satisfaction.

This collaboration also aligns with IUS’s broader institutional strategy of building meaningful partnerships that contribute to the holistic development of its students and staff. By integrating healthcare support into its ecosystem, the University reaffirms its dedication to student-centered education and responsible institutional care.

The Memorandum of Understanding stands as another step forward in IUS’s efforts to enhance campus life and provide its community with practical benefits that extend beyond the classroom.
