The Agency for Quality Assurance and Accreditation Austria, AQ Austria, a full member of European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA), granted the certificates of accreditation to seven bachelor and master study programmes of International University of Sarajevo (IUS) for a period of six years.
The decision was made on the AQ Austria Board meeting, held on 21st September, 2016 in Vienna.
International University of Sarajevo is thus the first University in Bosnia and Herzegovina whose undergraduate and graduate study programs are accredited by the AQ Austria. By this prestigious accreditation IUS study programmes obtained international recognition. At the same time, students and graduates now have greater possibility of mobility and continuation of their further education within the framework of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), and beyond.
In a series of its successes in the international arena, IUS once again confirmed its commitment to the Bologna vision, which requires that the quality assurance of higher education institutions is carried out in accordance with European Standards and Guidelines (ESG) and on the basis of international cooperation.
AQ Austria accreditation was granted to the following study programmes:
- Bachelor Programme Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences
- Bachelor Programme Genetics and Bioengineering, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Bachelor Programme International Relations, Faculty of Business and Administration
- Bachelor Programme Psychology, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences
- Master Programme Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences
- Master Programme Genetics and Bioengineering, Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences
- Master Programme International Relations, Faculty of Business and Administration
