President of the Bosnian Culture Community Preporod Prof. Dr. Senadin Lavić said that the city of Sarajevo possesses a major moral capacity to send the voice of reason into the world of wars nowadays.

“That is a request for peace among people and for final realization that we must build cultures of peace which will mutually respect each other. Human life must become the biggest value for the entire mankind,” said Prof. Dr. Lavić and added that silence is a special form of complicity in the suffering of others.

Among this important gathering of the 'Stand with Aleppo' were the IUS students and the respectable professors that wholeheartedly joined the initiative to show their solidarity and support of ending the conflict in Aleppo, and furthermore Syria, in hopes of being able to raise their voice and be heard in the most humanitarian way possible.

IUS is against the violence, against the killings of civilians, children and all those innocent lives that tried to be there for the people of Aleppo, against the idea of people having to run away from their homes, where it should be a place of safety and security. We stand with Aleppo, we stand and stay anchored in hopes that we will be heard and that something should and can be done about this situation in the most humane civilized way.
