The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) and the School Center “Mehmed Handžić” (primary and secondary school) signed a Memorandum of Understanding today at the IUS campus, marking the beginning of a partnership focused on advancing educational cooperation, supporting students, and developing joint initiatives.
The agreement was signed by Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, Rector of IUS, and Prof. Dr. Kenan Musić, Director of the School Center “Mehmed Handžić”. Both institutions emphasized their shared commitment to providing students with new opportunities for academic growth, knowledge exchange, and cultural engagement.
The Memorandum foresees a range of benefits for students and staff of both institutions, including scholarship opportunities for pupils of the School Center who decide to continue their studies at IUS, tuition advantages for children and family members of IUS employees enrolling in the School Center, as well as mutual promotion and exchange of information about educational programs and services.
In addition to these benefits, the agreement also sets the foundation for long-term cooperation through educational workshops, collaborative projects, thematic seminars, and interactive activities aimed at fostering creativity, problem-solving, and innovation.
IUS is committed to providing students with information about study opportunities, programs, and available benefits, while also supporting them through educational and professional activities. The School Center “Mehmed Handžić” pledged to inform pupils and parents about the advantages of studying at IUS, while encouraging active participation in joint educational, cultural, and community initiatives.
