International Symposium on traditional food

“The 3. International Symposium on traditional food, from the Adriatic to the Caucasus'' was held in the conference room of the Hotel Hollywood on 1 and 2 October 2015. Rector of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS), Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, Ilidža Municipality Mayor, Prof. dr. Senaid Memić, Rector of the Namık Kemal University from Turkey, Prof. Dr. Osman Şimişek and many other guests attended the opening ceremony of the Symposium. More than 500 participants from 10 different countries participated at the International Symposium and had the opportunity to attend to more than 300 presentations on various topics. The focus of the Symposium was on traditional cuisines from the Balkans to the Caucasus, the preparation, processing, distribution of food and dishes that have similar tastes but are prepared in a different way. At the symposium, various exhibitors had the opportunity to present BIH local cosine, and present food products such as honey, cheese, vegetable oil, ajvar on promotional stands.
