In cooperation with the Sarajevo Canton Public Institution „Family Counselling“, IUS has organised a panel presentation on 16 May 2016 for the International Family Day celebration. The presentation had for its aim to promote family as well as its values. The manifestation was opened in this university’s amphitheatre by Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, IUS Rector.
The participants of today’s manifestation had an opportunity to hear different lectures on the following subjects: International family by Assist. Prof. Dr.Selvira Draganović from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, International University of Sarajevo, as well as The Meaning of Family through a prism by the director of the CPI “Family Counselling”.
“A family is an invaluably meaningful part of our society and it needs institutional protection, help and support. Thereby, the ministry that I represent works on giving its optimal support to the family through different programmes and work of our institutions. I thank to the International University of Sarajevo and Family Counselling who organised this event today and exchanged their experiences. Only by joined forces can we encourage the preservation of functional family and thus the society in whole.”, said Azra Mulaomerović, the representative of the Ministry for Work, Social Politics, Displaced Persons and Refugees.
