VACD Workshop Brings Photography and 3D Design to Life at IUS Winter School

IUS Winter School

As part of the IUS “Show and Tell” Winter School, the Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design (VACD) study program organized an inspiring workshop for senior high school students on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

The workshop opened with an introduction by Assistant Professor Dr. Emir Hambo, VACD Program Coordinator, who presented the study program, its academic focus, and teaching staff, offering students a clear insight into the creative and interdisciplinary nature of VACD studies at IUS.

Following the introduction, students participated in a photography workshop led by Professor Aida Redžepagić, where they explored the basics of photography through practice, learning about composition, lighting, and visual storytelling while developing their own creative perspectives.

The program continued with a 3D design workshop conducted by Associate Professor Roman Sulejmanpašić. During this session, participants worked in Blender, learning the fundamentals of 3D modeling and gaining hands-on experience in digital design tools commonly used in contemporary visual communication.

The workshop provided students with an opportunity to discover the VACD program, engage with professors and current students, and experience different creative disciplines firsthand. The event aimed to inspire future designers and artists, and we look forward to welcoming some of these talented students again in October as members of the VACD community.
