Federal Minister of Education and Science Dr. Sc. Elvira Dilberović made an official visit to the International University of Sarajevo on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, Vice Rector Muhamed Ali and General Secretary, Emir Hadžikadunić welcomed distinguished minister Dilberović in the Rectorate. Federal Ministry of Education and Science performs administrative, professional and other tasks stipulated by law, and relating to the coordination of planning and activities in the area of preschool education - primary, secondary and higher education. In accordance with the activities of the Ministry, Minister Dilberović visited IUS in order to talk about the results and achievement this higher education institution has made so far.
During the meeting, Minister Dilberović has also suggested to further improve the cooperation between the Ministry and the IUS as an accredited higher education institution in the implementation of joint research projects in the field of higher education of the wider social benefits. Rector Oğurlu emphasized that IUS as an educational institution wants to direct its experience and knowledge towards the prosperity of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the entire region. He also said that cooperation with the Ministry contributes to the efficient development of education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
