On Thursday, April 26, 2018, on the occasion of the International Day of Girls in ICT, UNDP Bosnia and Herzegovina, Unicef Bosnia and Herzegovina, UN Women Bosnia and Herzegovina United Nations and BiH organized an online competition titled "Techniques for girls from 16 to 18 years old, with the goal of designing ideas for mobile applications that can improve our society.
This competition was also attended by Dr. Jasminka Hasić Telalović, where she was associating with the former participants of the geekFEST, who expressed satisfaction that they were part of such a summer school, which was their springboard to show themselves in the IT world.
The program was attended by Ambassador of Great Britain in Bosnia and Herzegovina HE. Edward Ferguson. The 7 best ideas of girls from Drvar, Hadzici, Sarajevo, Tuzla, Bijeljina, and Zivinice were presented today at an event intended to inspire young girls to think creatively about technology use. In June, the selected teams will have the opportunity to learn how to develop the mobile applications they have imagined.
