On Tuesday, August 25, 2026, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) welcomed representatives and students from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and Ankara Music and Fine Arts University as part of the Future Art Ambassadors Program (Geleceğin Sanat Elçileri Programı), organized in cooperation with the Yunus Emre Institute.
The guests were welcomed by IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı and Asst. Prof. Nejira Mulahmetović, Vice-Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS).
The visit provided participants with an opportunity to learn more about IUS, its international academic environment and the educational opportunities offered within the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.
Particular attention was given to the University’s activities in the fields of visual arts and design. The visiting students toured relevant facilities, explored examples of student work and became acquainted with the creative and interdisciplinary approach to arts education at IUS.
The Future Art Ambassadors Program aims to connect young people from Türkiye who are studying fine arts with international artistic and academic environments, encouraging cultural exchange, professional networking and greater international exposure.
The visit created a valuable opportunity for young artists to exchange ideas, experience a different academic setting and establish new connections that may contribute to future cooperation in the areas of arts, design and cultural exchange.
By hosting initiatives of this kind, IUS continues to strengthen its role as a meeting point for international academic and cultural exchange and to create opportunities for young people to connect across institutions, disciplines and borders.
