On Thursday 05.07.2012, a delegation of the Government of Tuzla Canton, headed by Prime Minister Sead Causevic, visited the International University of Sarajevo.
The distinguished guests were welcomed by IUS Rector Prof. Özer Cınar,Vice Rector for Academic Activities and Students’ Affairs of IUS Prof. Dr. Ismail Kocayusufoǧlu, Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Research of IUS Assist. Prof. Dr. Muhamed Hadžiabdić and Assist. Prof. Dr. Kutluk Özgüven.
At the beginning of the meeting, Rector Prof. Özer Cinar informed the guests about the current educational facilities and plans of IUS, the structure of students and professors, and the emphasis placed on the fact that the medium of instruction at this higher education institution is English.
Prime Minister Causevic pointed out that the planned cooperation between IUS and the Government of Tuzla Canton in the segment of education and improving the quality of education is certainly possible.
The aim of the visit for the delegation of the Government of Tuzla Canton was an introduction to the work and activities of the IUS, and a discussion of the possibility of future academic cooperation between the two institutions.
As a sign of gratitude, Rector Cinar presented a plaque to Prime Minister Causevic.
