Cooperation with Professors of University of Ljubljana

On Tuesday, May 11, 2017 Balkan Studies Center Director Dr. Mesut Idriz and Dr. Muhamed Ali, Advisor to and Representative for the Rector, welcomed the guest Dr. Anja Zalta from the Department of Sociology, University of Ljubljana Faculty of Arts, Slovenia.

Dr. Muhamed Ali and Dr. Anja Zalta are co-editing the new edition of Poligrafi Journal which is one of the most influential journals in Slovenia, focusing on publishing scholarly articles that cover wide range of philosophical topics, with a more prominent accent on ethics, philosophy of religion, and cosmology. The submission of the articles is ongoing, while the edition will be published in December this year, combining the works of academic staff from several countries.

The special project on which Dr. Mesut Idriz, Dr. Muhamed Ali and Anja Zalta are currently working on under the proposed title “Moderating Islamic Democracy” was also discussed.

In the final part of the meeting, possibility of signing the Memorandum of Understanding between IUS and University of Ljubljana was discussed along side with Erasmus exchange opportunities. Accordingly, both parties hope that MoU will be signed in the upcoming months.
