During the holy month of Ramadan, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) had the honor of hosting Imam hafiz Abdurrahman Baysal, who was assigned to the University by the Presidency of Religious Affairs of Türkiye (Diyanet). Throughout this blessed month, Imam Baysal became a valued presence within the IUS community, offering spiritual support, guidance, and warmth, especially to students residing in the dormitory.

Through his sincere dedication and active engagement, Imam Baysal contributed significantly to creating a meaningful and spiritually uplifting Ramadan atmosphere on campus. He joined students and staff for iftars organized at the IUS canteen, led prayers, and recited the Holy Quran in muqabela, helping strengthen the sense of togetherness, reflection, and faith that defines this special time of year.

His presence was particularly important for students who spent Ramadan away from their families, as he brought a sense of comfort, community, and belonging to campus life. Through his care, humility, and devotion, Imam Baysal helped make Ramadan at IUS a time of both spiritual enrichment and shared connection.

As a gesture of gratitude and appreciation for his devoted service and valuable contribution during Ramadan, the IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Ali Osman Kuşakcı, presented Imam hafiz Abdurrahman Baysal with a Certificate of Appreciation.

The International University of Sarajevo extends its sincere thanks to Imam hafiz Abdurrahman Baysal for the kindness, guidance, and dedication he shared with our students and the wider IUS community throughout this holy month. His contribution left a meaningful impact and added special value to the Ramadan experience at IUS.
