On Friday, February 28, 2025, the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) proudly celebrated the achievements of its dedicated academicians at the "Academic Excellence Award" ceremony for the 2023-2024 academic year. This special event honored the outstanding contributions of faculty members from all five faculties, recognizing their commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and project achievements.
IUS Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, expressed gratitude to the faculty for their dedication and shared statistical insights highlighting the university’s remarkable progress over the past five years. Despite no significant increase in staff numbers, the academic activities, achievements, and research output have nearly doubled, showcasing the unwavering commitment of IUS academicians.
Mr. Hasan Topaloğlu, President of the Foundation for Education Development Sarajevo (SEDEF), also addressed the attendees, extending his heartfelt appreciation to the faculty. He commended their hard work, dedication, and the exceptional results they continue to achieve.
The highlight of the evening was the awarding of certificates to 30 distinguished professors, presented by Mr. Hasan Topaloğlu, IUS Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, and Mayor of Gebze Municipality, Mr. Zinnur Büyükgöz. This event not only celebrated academic excellence but also reinforced the university’s commitment to advancing education, science, and research.
