Building Digital Resilience: IUS Life at the CyberFort Kickoff Meeting

IUS Life at the CyberFort Kickoff Meeting

Representatives of the IUS Lifelong Learning Center – IUS Life, Ms. Hilal Karić, IUS Life Director and Ms. Mirsada Mehremić, IUS Life Assistant Director, participated in the first transnational meeting of the CyberFort Project, held in the dynamic city of Istanbul on April 9–10, 2025. The event was graciously hosted by the esteemed Governorship of Istanbul (GOI), a key project partner.

This milestone gathering marked a strong start to the project’s mission: enhancing cybersecurity awareness and competencies among VET schools and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Europe.

During the two-day meeting, project partners aligned on goals, shared best practices, and laid the foundation for impactful initiatives. Key topics included the development of a Cybersecurity Competencies Framework and a Cybersecurity Education Curriculum, both designed to equip educators, students, and professionals with essential knowledge to navigate today’s digital challenges.

The educational materials developed through CyberFort will soon be made available to teachers and in-company trainers from SMEs - offering accessible tools to build digital resilience.

IUS Life extends its sincere thanks to the Governorship of Istanbul for their warm hospitality and exceptional organization, and to all project partners for a productive and inspiring collaboration.
