The exhibition titled'' Islamic Art'' opened yesterday, 04/23/2012. at the International University of Sarajevo.
Exhibition was opened by Rector of University Professor. Dr. Özer Cinar, and the opening was attended by the deputy to the Great National Assembly of Turkey's Elvan Lutfi, mayor of municipalities Ilidza Dr. Senaid Memic, students, guests and media representatives.
The exhibition is organized promotion activities within the arts and support the IUS and the promotion of similar events.
''Ebru is widespread in Turkey and has a very specific technical performance and is generally fascinating paint and mode of expression. Ebru is the most specific form of Islamic art '' said Cinar.
Mr. Lutfi Elvan in his speech expressed his satisfaction on the occasion of visiting the Sarajevo and visit International University, exhibitions and stressed the desire that the relationship between Turkey and BiH strengthen.
The exhibition presents the works of the group Elif, Konya Educational Center, Plavi Leptir and Ebru art of illumination and three artists from Istanbul, calligrapher Izzet Elitaş, Nursan Elitaş ve Sümeyye Elitaş.
Calligraphic works are examples of Turkish calligraphy from the 15th and the 16th century.
