The first IIIT European Summer school will be organised at IUS

The first IIIT European Summer school will be hosted by the International University of Sarajevo in the period from August 24 –September 7, 2013. It is organized by the IIIT London Office Institute for Epistemological Studies Europe, Brussels and Centre for Advanced Studies, Sarajevo in cooperation with The Fairfax Institute, USA. The program will be designed for European undergraduate and graduate students who are majoring in Islamic studies, humanities or the social sciences and who are interested in developing their knowledge and expertise in the topics listed below:

Speakers will be: Dr. Abdelwahab El-Affendi, Dr. Ahmet Alibašić, Dr. Anas Al-Shaikh-Ali, CBE, Dr. Hisham Altalib, Dr. Mehmet Asutay, Muhammad A. Aziz, Dr. Jamal Barzinji, Dr. Beddy Ebnou, Professor Enes Karić, Professor Fikret Karcic, Professor Israr Ahmad Khan, Dr. Fathi Malkawi, Professor Jorgen S. Nielson, Professor Mustafa Ozel, Professor Tariq Ramadan, Dr. Ermin Sinanović, Dr. Dževada Šuško, Professor Mato Zovkić.

The program will also provide an opportunity for participants to present and discuss their particular research in workshops. Eight days will be reserved for seminars, two days for presentations and workshops by participants of their current research, and three days for local educational trips.

During the course of the program, participants will complete a total of 80 hours of direct research and instruction and will receive a certificate of attendance from the organizers and the International University of Sarajevo. Travel expenses, food and accommodation for participants will be covered by the organizers. Students should have their own health insurance coverage.
