Mastering Comprehension: Unlocking the Power of ICQs and CCQs with Nermina Šegalo

Mastering Comprehension

On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, students from the English Language and Literature, Teaching (ELT) and English Language and Literature (ELIT) study programs had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Nermina Šegalo, ELS (IUS) Professional Development Coordinator and teacher, for a session exploring the significance of ICQs (Instruction Checking Questions) and CCQs (Concept Checking Questions).

Through engaging and interactive activities, students in the English Language Teaching Methodology (ELT322) course explored the world of teaching and questioning skills, focusing on ICQs and CCQs. They had the opportunity to practice recognizing, differentiating, and understanding these important questioning techniques.

The ELT322 students, taught by Professor Damir Kahrić, were actively engaged in this inspiring lecture, demonstrating their enthusiasm for expanding their knowledge and enhancing their teaching skills.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Professor Šegalo for her insightful lecture and thank Professor Kahrić for guiding his methodology students toward a deeper understanding of the teaching profession.
