Student and Career Center (SCC) prepared an IUS Welcome Fair for its students on October 12, 2022. The Fair was a perfect opportunity for students to reignite the friendships from the previous years and start new ones.
SCC hosted a presentation of IUS Clubs where students spoke with Club representatives and joined the ones they found interesting and fun. Some of the clubs presented at event included: Aviation Club, IUS Chess Club, Gymnastics Club, Music club, Freelancers Club, etc.
One of the most successful IUS clubs, IUS Wolves basketball club, is currently the only student basketball club existing in Bosnia and Herzegovina and their achievements are amazing. IUS students met the players, their manager, and some of them joined the club.
In addition, a charity food bazaar was organized during the fair. IUS students and staff prepared a lot of different dishes which were sold during the fair. All the collected money will be donated to people in need.
The attendees had a chance to meet with IUS international and Erasmus newcomers and learned more about the International Relations Office (IRO). In addition, during the IUS Fair, the visitors could buy IUS T-shirts and hoodies as well as books for English language learners (grammar books for different levels, graded readers, etc.) at very affordable prices.
This fair was an excellent start of a new academic year at IUS where IUS students and staff could socialize, have fun and do some good for other people.
IUS wishes all its students and staff a lot of success in this 2022/2023 academic year.
