Within the IR354 (Global Environmental Issues) course students of the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) participated in cleaning action with Nerkez Opačin, Senior Assistant on Monday, June 1, 2015. This project focuses on planning and environmental protection. Students and Senior Assistant Opačin came up with the idea to clean up the garbage between IUS Campus and the bridge in Ilidža. The objective was to make the environment more beautiful and accessible but also show others that it is the environment we all share and must care about. What is also important to mention is that within the same project IUS secured bins for recycling paper and plastic waste. Participants of the action sincerely hope that these and similar actions will continue to be organized with participation of young people in the future.
