International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is proud to announce that Associate Professor Dr. Altijana Hromić-Jahjefendić attended the Training School titled "The NRF2 Network: Molecules, Pathways, and Therapeutic Strategies in Chronic Disease", held from May 26-30, 2025 in Ohrid, North Macedonia. Notably, she was the sole participant representing Bosnia and Herzegovina at this international event.
The Training School offered an in-depth exploration of the NRF2 signaling pathway, with a focus on its molecular mechanisms and its critical role in oxidative stress, metabolic dysfunction, and chronic disease. The program featured expert-led lectures, a hands-on bioinformatics workshop, and interactive sessions, providing participants with the opportunity to share their research, exchange ideas, and initiate potential collaborations.
Participation in this prestigious program underscores Dr. Hromić-Jahjefendić’s commitment to advancing research and international cooperation in biomedical sciences.
