CORE-ED Academy Releases First Newsletter Featuring IUS-Led Project Progress

CORE-ED Academy Releases First Newsletter

The International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is pleased to share the first issue of the CORE-ED Academy project newsletter, presenting key updates on the project’s progress and its mission to strengthen educational approaches in juvenile justice. The newsletter introduces CORE-ED Academy as an Erasmus+ CBHE initiative focused on advancing correctional pedagogy and professionalization for those working with children in conflict with the law.

A major highlight of this first issue is the contribution of IUS as the lead institution for Work Package 3 (WP3), which focuses on the co-production of the CORE-ED Correctional Pedagogy Ecosystem. As noted in the newsletter, IUS led the development of the project’s evidence base through desk research, interviews, questionnaires, and DACUM workshops, helping identify key sector needs and training gaps across partner contexts.

The newsletter also highlights the completion of the Synthesis Report on “CORE-ED” Findings (D3.1) and the DACUM workshop hosted by IUS in Sarajevo, both of which represent important steps in shaping the next phase of curriculum development and training design within the project.
