Tirana, Albania, December 10th and 11th 2009
At the beginning of December, IUS Rector Prof. Dr. B. Gültekin Çetiner had the opportunity to participate in the official program of the visit of the President of Republic of Turkey Dr. Abdullah Gül to Tirana, Albania. During his visit, president Gül opened Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Centre, visited Turgut Özal Cultural and Educational Centre, inaugurated campus construction of the Epoka University and made a speech to Turkish businessmen in Tirana.
Rector Çetiner participated to the entire program of the visit and found a chance to present his best wishes on behalf of the International University in Sarajevo to the president Gül.
Also, IUS Rector received special invitation for the opening of the Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Centre by Prof. Dr. Ali Fuat Bilkan on December 11th 2009. The Rector was accompanied by Dr. Mete Gündoğan and Dr. Hüsnü Demircan from the IUS Faculty of Economics and Business Administration. Earlier this year, Yunus Emre Turkish Cultural Centre was opened in Sarajevo as well.
