The Psychology (PSY) study program at the International University of Sarajevo (IUS) actively participated in the Third International & Interdisciplinary Congress of Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy, held from October 3–6, 2024. This year's congress centered on the theme “Reflection on Communication and Relationships in Achieving Health of Children, Adolescents, and Families: Therapeutic Approaches.”
PhD Candidate and Senior Assistant Lejla Mustoo Başer presented research findings from a collaborative study titled “The Influence of Age, Gender, and Grade Point Average on Emotional and Behavioral Problems in Bosnian & Herzegovinian Adolescents and Young Adults.”
The congress provided a valuable platform for professionals to deepen their expertise and share knowledge with leading specialists across multiple disciplines. The focus was on the mental health of children, adolescents, and their families, emphasizing well-being as a foundation for a healthy society.
The academic staff of the PSY program expressed their enthusiasm for participating in the event, which highlighted the development of innovative and integrative therapeutic approaches. The congress was the result of collaboration between the European Accredited Psychotherapy Training Institute BHIDAPA, UNICEF, the World Health Organization, and the Federal Ministry of Health of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
